The OA is an American mystery drama web TV show with sci-fi and supernatural and fantasy elements. The OA released on Netflix on December 16, 2016. This show is created and executive produced by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij. The show is their 3 collaboration. The series consists of 2 seasons of 8 episodes each, all directed by Batmanglij and is produced by Plan B Entertainment and Anonymous Content.
Unfortunately, Netflix canceled The OA after 2 seasons on August 5 2019. Fans were largely disappointed because season 2 ended with a cliffhanger, Marling said that she and Batmanglij were deeply sad that they would not be able to give the show a proper result and ending.
