So this web show is hosted and announced by Peter Segal and Carl Kasell and Bill Kurtis and created by Doug Berman and when the program had its debut in January 1998, Dan Coffey of Ask Dr,]. Science was the original host, but a revamping of the web show led to his replacement in May of that year.

Wait Wait Don’t tell me, listeners, also participate by telephoning and sending Emails to nominate themselves as a contestant and the producers select several listeners for each web show and call them to appear on the program and playing various games featuring questions based on the week’s news. And the current prize is to have anyone web show panelist and staff member of the contestant’s choice record the greeting including Sagal, Kurtis, and Kasell prior to his death in April 2018.
