Season 1 was released way back on December 11, 2017. Fans had to wait for about 2 years because season 2 came out in 2020. The show does not have a favorable rating on Rotten Tomato with a score of 17%. The show is not that well received. The writers of the show have been tight-lipped about the story But in season 3 we might see Bancroft pay for her crime.
There is no approval till now concering whether Bancroft will get an ITV season 3. Audience would need to hold up until 2022 to see more episodes of Bancroft on their screens.
CAST OF THE SHOW:
The show is led by Sarah Parish as the titular character detective Chief Elizabeth Bancroft along with her son Joe Bancroft played out by Adam Long. The show leads also includes Adrian Edmondson as Superintendent Clifford Walker and Faye Morsay as Detective Sergeant Katherine Stevens, along with many others who have the ins and outs, Bancroft.
There are the new kids on the block Detective Superintendent Jake Harper as David Avery and Chef Constable Frances Holland who could both return for future episodes.
STORYLINE OF THE SHOW:
It turns out that it was Bancroft who murdered the woman after they broke up after a love affair. The rest of the season, we follow the manipulation game played out by Bancroft. Season 2 ended with Bancroft behind bars after Cliff Walker finds her conspiracy to kill Katherine’s ex-lover Charles.
The latest outing of the show began airing on New Year’s Day and ran for three episodes on consecutive evenings.
Prior to as far as possible, Joe appreciated that he was a killer and that he had killed both Laura Frazer, her lover, and Katherine his mom. He also revealed to Annabel that his mom had passed on, he hadn’t spoken since the commemoration administration of Katherine.
