Brazilan’s President “Jair Bolsonaro” was hospitalized after a minor accident in his Presidential residence on this Monday. Bolsonaro, 64, was taken to the armed forces’ hospital in the capital of Brasilia and underwent examinations of his skull that showed no problems, said a statement from the presidency’s communications office.
His officer said – “He fell at the Alvorada Palace. He was treated by the medical team of the Presidency of the Republic and taken to the Armed Forces Hospital,” a presidential spokesman said in a statement published by the G1 news portal.
he Planalto Palace has yet to respond to AFP’s request for comment. According to the statement, Bolsonaro was given a cranial CT scan, “which didn’t detect any changes.”
Institutional Security Minister Augusto Heleno arrived at the hospital shortly after the presidential convoy and told Globo television that Bolsonaro “is fine,” but must remain under observation
The president would remain under observation for six to 12 hours, it said. The statement gave no other details on the incident, but Brazilian media reported that Bolsonaro slipped in the bathroom and banged his head.
