The film is quite different compared to other regular serial killing films. It doesn’t just give you a two hours journey of a serial killer’s life and a satisfying twist ending. The film raises questions about humanity, nature vs. nurture, how people deal with certain emotional things that can’t be described in words, and so many other things.

If you have previously watched Ducournau’s other work, like “Raw,” then you know her favorite subject is body horror. She used that here, too, to tell the story, and the whole visual is sure goddamn creepy to watch.

The story starts with a girl name Adrien; she had sex with a car, and the car got her pregnant (probably because they forgot to use protection). In time, Adrian finds out she is pregnant with a metal baby, and she bleeds oil from her vagina. The film reveals that she already had a metal plate in her from a childhood car accident.
